The light turns dark, the fixed stars glow bright

Rival animals get ready to fight

It boils down to this final hour

To tame and balance their unchecked power

The stars and planets transit and conjoin

Checked by the temper in powerful beasts’ loins

Two houses meet in star-crossed Mars

The Sun in Leo, the Taurus morning star

Two hearts, two livers tempered by two spleens

The whole universe comes to watch this scene

Fizzing with potential energy

Splendour, triumph and majesty

The Lion and Bull have to settle a score

New enemies now yet friends before

Who knows on which side Fate will lean

It takes a Matador in between
